Professor Chris Lonsdale

Chris is the program leader for the Motivation and Behaviour Research Program at the Institute for Positive Psychology and Education (IPPE). His research examines the motivational foundations of physical activity behaviour in school and competitive sport. He utilises internet-based tools to deliver interventions that promote sustainable physical activity participation.

Dr Michael Noetel

Michael is a psychologist who has been teaching for over 10 years. He has contributed to a large number of funded projects aimed at engaging students in education. From a PE perspective, he's an avid athlete with a Masters of Sport and Exercise Psychology, so has dedicated much of his life to helping young people engage in sport and perform well when they do. From a maths perspective, he completed advanced mathematics throughout his Bachelor of Science, and has taught maths and statistics since 2009. This project brings together his expertise in maths, PE, and the psychology of motivation and engagement.
